Hip Hop class for children 5 to 9 years old
(pick up option from PS 31, PS 110, PS132 additional fee $160)
Hip hop dance class is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements.
This is a fun and energetic class that teaches the fundamentals of dance and rhythm while incorporating current dance moves, increasing fitness and learning exciting combinations. Students will learn dances to fun and age appropriate songs and explore the creativity of movement all while working with dance professionals! Stretching and strengthening are also involved to help your dancer grow. Across the floor combinations and dance games are also incorporated into every session. The class will culminate in a performance for family and friends.
The class is taught by Four Creative Corner teachers, a performing arts company for kids in NYC. Their goal is to create a community that helps students foster confidence, leadership skills and creativity.
Thursdays, September 13th through January 10th
(no class – November 22nd & December 27th)
Thursdays 3:15 pm-4:00 pm (5-9 years old)
We offer homework help and play time is included with pick up option until 5 pm
(extended hour until 6 pm for $20 per class).
- $560 – 45-minute class (16 sessions)
- $720 – 45-minute class (16 sessions) with pick up (please indicate school and grade)

Seneca Lawrence, Teaching Artist
Seneca Lawrence, a native of Tilton, New Hampshire, began dancing at the age of four and has;t stopped since. After years of dancing competitively in tap, jazz, contemporary and ballet she decided to hone her ballet skills and finish high school studying at the Boston Ballet School. Upon graduating, she auditioned and was accepted into the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College in New York. There she studied ballet and modern dance rigorously and performed in a variety of works including The Nutcracker and contemporary pieces by choreographers such as Gabrielle Lamb and Ori Flomin. Having graduated in May 2015, she is living in New York City pursuing her dance career further and enjoying working as a teacher with Four Corners Creative.
